November's Calendar Challenge

Our final Calendar Challenge animal is a Dusky Dolphin. It seems appropriate that we end on a New Zealand animal after travelling around the world every other month.

We love books!

It is book day this week at Cornerstone. As part of our celebration in A5 to acknowledge how much we love books, some children are taking devotions. They are sharing their favourite story in the Bible and telling us about how it shows God's love.

Today Sadella shared about God creating the garden for Adam and Eve. God showed his love in lots of ways in this part of history. Here are two:

  • God gave Adam and Eve life and made them part of his family. God's love includes people. We can show love by including others.
  • God created a beautiful garden that had everything Adam and Eve needed. God's love provides. We can show love by providing for others.

OUR MEMORY VERSE THIS WEEK IS:"This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you." John 15:12

African Sunset in the Savannah

We love Art and we love Africa!
The photos do not do these African sunset silhouettes justice but the class did a stunning job. The richness of the sunset and the detail in the drawings are a little lost, so it's definitely worth having a look at them in class!

Sound of the Week: 'x' the kissing sound

A box and a rubik's cube!

Plurals make the 'k' sound say 'x'.
"No X next to S!"

September's Kingdom Kid

Congratulations Hawaiki. You're one super cool chick!
Hawaiki's certificate says...

Hawaiki and Jerushael are a dream team! They are a stunning example of how friends can make each other better people. They encourage each other to do the right thing and allow each other to learn and grow. In your friendship you show love to each other and to others as well. You include people. Together you show us what God's values look like and sound like in a friendship.
