People Who Help :)

Mrs Elliot came to visit us in her ambulance. She is training to be a paramedic. Shad put it perfectly in his story when he wrote, "Her work car is so cool!"

Mrs Elliot talked to us about the equipment they carry in the ambulance. She is showing us the defibrillator.

Shad got his heart checked! His heart beat was very healthy. πŸ’“

James listened to Mrs Elliot's heart with a stethoscope.

Mrs Elliot's big bag has everything...
...even a sick bag
This is the bleeding pocket.

We know all about plasters but inside the bleeding pocket was something new to us. It is called a tourniquet. They use this most often with the army to stop bleeding when people are a long way away from a hospital.

We got to walk through the ambulance.

We are SUPER glad there are people like Mrs Elliot to help us when we are really sick or injured! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

  1. How exciting to learn about what a paramedic does and to have the opportunity to look inside the ambulance! Hopefully no one from A5 will need to go for a ride in an ambulance but it's awesome that they're available if needed. Thanks for doing the job you do Mrs Elliot. Aiden's Mum
