Origami Jumping Frogs brought to you by Matthias!

If you would like to make an origami jumping frog like the one Matthias made in his Red-eyed Tree Frog Calendar Challenge entry here's how...

“I learned how to make a paper frog from a video on YouTube. I made it with Mum’s help because there were two steps that I found it quite hard. I also need to be very patient and careful. So if anyone wants to learn, here is the YouTube link. I have made a video to show you how to make the frog jump!” :-) By Matthias

Zoom chats with A5

😍LOVED catching up with these beautys today on Zoom. So nice to see your faces, hear your voices and enjoy your stories, creations, and updates.

A bit of a shame 'print screen' didn't work when we all smiled for the camera but at least this one mid conversation keeps the good memories alive.

At the start of our catch up, we sung happy birthday to Noah (27th March), Amalie (29th March), Bradley (31st March) and Ryder (6th March), who have all had their 6th birthday during lockdown. We also discovered a lot of us are losing teeth over lockdown!
HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY YOU AWESOME FOUR!!! We all love you to bits! xx

Master Builders

Building starts with /b/! Here is our Week 2 Learning from home...

"Morning A5

I built a beam and bar with my Dad. He's a builder. Dad said he's sick of building houses, so we built something else.

Here are some pictures. I got to use his tools and help him measure things. He said, "Mila can you count how many feet this is using my feet?" I counted 13 feet."
By Mila

Here is Aeren contructing. The video is his completed building. He drew a house with shapes and wrote a story about his dream home.

Sovereign's story about her 'not normal' home

"This is the plan of my house. I have made a list of the items in each room and made a note big which is biggest and smallest. I have also made my own house 😁" By Blake

"Here is the house I built for my toys. The big box has a TV on the wall that Doggy can watch from his bed. The little house is a guest room. It has a sliding, changing colour wall." By Charlie

Charlie the Statistician!
"I used my tape measure to measure the width of different pieces of furniture. We talked about which things were biggest, smallest, etc. It was hard to tell the different sizes just by looking at the list, so we decided to put the information on a graph. I have marked the biggest, smallest and medium items."

Noah's House Plan
"Today I had fun doing part of my Buildings project. I had expert relief teachers today. My Grandpa and Grandma took me for Building and Baking lessons. With the help of Grandpa I drew my house from a picture we had of it, using my ruler." By Noah

By Sione
I pray that with God's help, we are all able to live out 1 John 4:7 this week. Thank you God that you loved us first and for your neverending, never giving up love for us today. You have made a great poster to help remind us of this Mikaylah.

Ryder kicks off our Buildings, Houses and Rooms Learning

"I have created a house out of recycling. I have also made this puzzle by myself! I have been doing lots of learning from home. I liked your rat story Mrs Forrest. I built a mouse trap and I built a stand out of wood to hold my Iron Man toy." Ryder

Sound of the week: /b/

A 'b' goes the way we read and write!

"I have found a few items around the house that start with the sound /b/. I challenge my classmates to list all the items that I found." Blake

Those lower case B's are brilliant Mikaylah!

Brilliant /b/ work Sovereign! I like how you labelled your sound hunt. I have highlighted what I think is your best captial B and your best lower case B. Great stuff!😊
